Robert T. Naumes has over 35 years of experience representing victims of transportation related accidents, toxic torts, personal injury and class actions.
Born in Boston, he graduated with honors from Boston College and Boston College Law School. After law school he joined Robert Malone litigating wrongful death and serious personal injury claims for railroad and maritime workers under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act and Jones Act. In 1985, he merged his firm with Thornton and Early, creating one of the largest plaintiff firms in the Northeast.
In 2014 he formed the Naumes Law Group with his son Christopher. He is currently working on FELA claims, an asbestos class action against Travelers insurance, wrongful death claims, products liability claims and whistleblower cases.
Recommended by all major railroad unions, Bob also represents workers with traumatic and occupational disease claims. Recent litigation includes railroad workers who developed acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) for exposure to benzene from petroleum-based solvents.
He is a former president of the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys and is a member of the American Association for Justice and Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. Mr. Naumes has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer, has been selected a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers, and is rated “AV”, the highest available rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a highly respected independent legal rating publisher.
